Jürgen Höllisch to start on October 1, 2008

Dortmund: The Supervisory Board of ELMOS Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG)
has appointed Jürgen Höllisch as new Management Board member for
sales and development. Höllisch will start on October 1, 2008. The
CEO of ELMOS, Dr. Anton Mindl, has been acting on the
responsibilities involved provisionally since the end of April 2008.

An engineer by education, Höllisch (37) was employed by the
semiconductor manufacturer Maxim Integrated Products for altogether
15 years. Over the last four years his major responsibility was the
business development of automotive electronics in Europe and the U.S.

"I am very proud to have been appointed to the Management Board of
ELMOS. The semiconductor industry is changing constantly. It is a
challenge for me to participate in bringing this change about with
new products and developments. ELMOS provides an excellent starting
point for this task," says Höllisch.

"We are looking forward to working together with Mr. Höllisch. With
his experience in the semiconductor industry of many years, he will
surely introduce fresh ideas. His focus will be on the continued
expansion of the growth achieved and the further development of the
product portfolio," comments Mindl.

As of October 1, 2008 the Management Board will consist of the
following members: Dr. Anton Mindl (51), CEO, Reinhard Senf (56),
Management Board member for production, Nicolaus Graf von Luckner
(59), CFO, and Jürgen Höllisch (37), Management Board member for
sales and development.
