Leverkusen, 5 August 2008 - The management of Biofrontera AG (ISIN:
DE 0006046113) has, irrespective of the difficult financial markets,
with approval of the supervisory board used authorized capital to
increase the company's base capital and issue new shares against cash
deposits. Subscription rights of current investors were excluded.
Existing shareholders with a long-term investment perspective
purchased 111,111 new, registered shares at market price, thereby
strengthening Biofrontera's liquidity by 1.0 million Euro. Through
this issue of new shares, the base capital of Biofrontera AG was
increased to 3,316,514 Euro.
