Voting Rights Notification:

On 21 August 2008 Federated Investors Inc., Pittsburgh, USA made the
following notifications regarding the holding of voting rights held
in Epigenomics AG, Berlin, Germany, according to § 21 WpHG in their
name as well as for their subsidiary F II Holdings Inc., Pittsburgh,
USA:

1.) Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of F II
Holdings Inc. pursuant to § 21 para. 1 WpHG:

On 1 April 2008 F II Holdings Inc. fell below the 3 per cent, the 5
per cent, the 10 per cent and the 15 per cent thresholds of § 21
para. 1 WpHG and held at this date 0 per cent of the voting rights (0
voting rights) in Epigenomics AG.

2.) Notification of voting rights in their own name pursuant to § 21
para. 1 WpHG:

On 1 April 2008 Federated Investors Inc. fell below the 3 per cent,
the 5 per cent, the 10 per cent and the 15 per cent thresholds of §
21 para. 1 WpHG and held at this date 0 per cent of the voting rights
(0 voting rights) in Epigenomics AG.

Voluntary Clarification:

Further on the same day, Federated Investors Inc. made the following
voluntary clarification in addition to their notifications pursuant
to §§ 21 et seq. WpHG reported above regarding the holding of voting
rights held in Epigenomics AG for Federated Kaufmann Fund Federated
Investors Fund, Pittsburgh, USA as well as for Federated Equity
Management Company of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, USA:

1.) Clarification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of the
Federated Kaufmann Fund:

As of 1 April 2008 Federated Kaufmann Fund still held 19.02 per cent
of the voting rights (5.081.706 voting rights) in Epigenomics AG.

2.) Clarification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of the
of Federated Equity Management Company of Pennsylvania:

As of 1 April 2008 Federated Equity Management Company of
Pennsylvania still held 19.26 per cent of the voting rights
(5.143.405 voting rights) in Epigenomics AG. 19.26 per cent of the
voting rights (5.143.405 voting rights) are attributed to Federated
Equity Management Company of Pennsylvania pursuant to § 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG. Voting rights are attributed to Federated Equity
Management Company of Pennsylvania by Federated Kaufmann Fund which
held directly 3 per cent or more of voting rights.

Inc., which in turn is the parent company of Federated Equity
Management Company of Pennsylvania. Federated Equity Management
Company of Pennsylvania, an investment adviser registered in the
United States under the Investment Company Act of 1940, acts as
Investment Adviser to the Federated Kaufmann Fund and Federated
Kaufmann Fund II, both Massachusetts Business Trusts and Investment
Companies, as that term is defined under the Investment Company Act
1940.
