The Belimo Group, global leader in the field of electrical actuators
and valves for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, can
look back on a highly successful year in 2008. Despite the well-known
economic uncertainties and deterioration in the construction industry
in some countries, steady growth was achieved in all three market
regions in the third and fourth quarter.

In Swiss francs, net sales for 2008 rose by 8.6 percent to around CHF
404 million. This corresponds in local currencies to an increase of
14.7 percent, with Europe contributing 18.0 percent, the Americas 8.9
percent and Asia/Pacific 19.8 percent to the growth. The air and
water applications rose by 12.5 and 19.1 percent respectively in
local currencies.

The Belimo Group expects again a healthy operating income (EBIT). Net
income will remain on prior year level affected negatively by the
exchange rate development. Detailed information on this and the 2008
reporting period as a whole will be published on March 16, 2009, at
the year-end media information session.
