Carpevigo AG of Germany enters the Italian Solar Market

Strategic cooperation with development and engineering companies
Construction of the first solar power plant scheduled for Q3.2009
Holzkirchen / Germany, March 03, 2009 - With the opening of a branch
office in Bolzano, South Tyrol, German Carpevigo AG (ISIN
DE000A0LR6B6) carried out the market entry into the fast-growing
Italian solar energy market. The first corporations for the
construction and operation of solar power plants were founded and
also registered in Bolzano. The Construction of a first solar power
plant in the province of Apulia is scheduled to begin mid-year 2009.

For its operations in the Italian market Carpevigo relies on local
partners with many years of experience in the energy sector. Already
in the second half of 2008 the German project developer and investor
arranged a strategic cooperation in the sector of solar electricity
generation with three Italian development and engineering companies.
For the period 2009-2010 Carpevigo has a project pipeline for solar
power plants with a total capacity of 23.5 Megawatt (MWp). Business
activities will be focused on middle and southern Italy.

Italy thanks to a solar radiation of 1,500 to 1,800 kWh per square
meter per year offers excellent conditions for the usage of solar
energy for electricity generation. The amendment of the "Conto
Energia" law in 2008 created a solid legal framework for investments
in the utilization of renewable energies. This includes among other
aspects a feed-in tariff guaranteed by law over a period of 20 years.
