Executive Board Mandate of Herbert Hainer Extended |

Herzogenaurach, May 7, 2009 - It was announced at today's Annual
General Meeting of adidas AG that the current mandate of Herbert
Hainer, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board, due to expire in
2010, has been extended.
Dr. Hans Friderichs, outgoing Supervisory Board Chairman, commented:
"The adidas Group is in the fortunate position to be continuously
headed by Mr. Hainer during this difficult time and beyond."
Herbert Hainer was appointed as CEO and Chairman of the Executive
Board of adidas AG in March 2001. He has been a member of the adidas
AG Executive Board since March 1997. Herbert Hainer started his
career with adidas in 1987.
