Milan, Italy, May 26, 2009 - BioXell S.p.A. (SIX: BXLN) today
announced that the members of the Board of Directors unanimously
re-elected Prof. Thomas Szucs as Chairman. Prof. Szucs has been the
Chairman of BioXell's Board of Directors since November 1st, 2006,
and was re-elected as a Director of the Company at the Annual General
meeting on April 30, 2009.

Prof. Thomas Szucs said, "I thank all our Board members for the
continued trust in my person and work. The immediate efforts of the
Board of Directors and the Management of BioXell will be focused on
evaluating all strategic options for our Company."
