Kuoni adopts new customer-focused corporate structure |
|
Kuoni is restructuring its entire group to create a more
customer-focused organisation. This is the first fundamental
reorganisation for decades changing the Kuoni Group from a
decentralised to a functional organisation. The changes are an
integrated part of the investment and cost reduction programme that
was launched at the beginning of 2009. The new group structure
features two Market Regions, North and South, and a single
Procurement & Production Unit for both market regions. Destinations
remains as a global Division. The new organisation focuses on
marketing and sales and on the efficiencies offered by global
procurement and production, and will deliver substantial cost
savings.
It also entails changes to the Group Executive Board as of October
2009: Leif Vase Larsen and Stefan Leser will head up the Market
Regions North and South respectively; the new Procurement &
Production Unit will be headed by Rolf Schafroth, in addition to his
existing duties as Head of Destinations; and all three will serve on
the Group Executive Board together with CEO Peter Rothwell and CFO
Max E. Katz. Reto Wilhelm leaves the Group Executive Board and the
Kuoni Group. "This new organisation, which focuses on marketing and
sales on the one hand and procurement and production on the other,
will provide us with more customer focus, further growth
opportunities, improved profitability and efficient cost management,"
said Peter Rothwell, CEO of the Kuoni Group.
