Leverkusen, Germany, - Biofrontera (DSE: B8F) today announces that
their innovative medical cosmetic product Belixos® can, from now on,
be purchased in Germany. In parallel to the market introduction, the
product is, since yesterday evening, presented to an international
expert auditorium at the 18th Congress of the European Academy of
Dermatology and Venerology (EADV) in Berlin.

Belixos® was specifically designed for the intensive care of reddened
or itching skin, such as the skin problems occurring in psoriasis or
atopic dermatitis. Belixos® combines herbal extracts, known from the
traditional medicine of the American Indians, with an innovative,
proprietary biocolloid formulation.

The active ingredients in Belixos® originate from Mahonia aquifolium,
a plant that is similar to its local cognate berberis, as well as
green tea and chamomile. Aided by the biocolloid technology the plant
alkaloids very rapidly penetrate and diffuse around the epidermis,
thus providing their soothing and regenerating effects particularly
within this skin layer. The biocolloids are, in addition, responsible
for the excellent cosmetic properties of the crème.

The EADV congress, at which Belixos® is now, parallel to the market
launch, presented to an international expert group, is the largest
European dermatology congress at which the newest clinical results
and scientific achievements are presented and discussed. At the
congress Biofrontera presents itself jointly with Grünenthal Pharma
AG, which is manufacturing the product on Biofrontera's behalf.

Belixos® is now immediately available through an internet shop
released today (www.belixos.com). Next to the option of an online
order of the new product, the shop offers detailed information about
Belixos® for both, medical experts and users.
